Our Association was
created four years ago in order to support the work of Mireille and Jean-Pierre
LIBBERECHT, who are involved in India, in the Pondicherry area, every year
from October to March.
Their activities consist in rebuilding shelter for the most destitute families,
mainly widows, widowers and older and handicaped persons.
Palm-leafed huts, the traditional type of houses in this area, are built by
small local businesses, under the careful control of Mireille and Jean-Pierre.
We also help the families become self-sufficient by creating small businesses
(construction of stalls, financial support for buying start-up stock, sewing
machines and supplies, etc.).
All the members of the Association work on a voluntary basis and do not receive
any income or allowances.
